Bear on the ball!

This is one of my favourite stamps! I think it is just so cute and can be adapted to all sorts of colours...

I decided to make this one traditional and give him a blue football.

I also made this a challenge to myself to only use five colours when colouring in the design.

Materials Used:
  • White card
  • Label Three die
  • Stampavie Sporty Stamp
  • Flex markers - Dolphin Blue - Cloud Blue - Champagne - Nutmeg - Cappuccino - Blender
  • White card blank
  • Blue card
  • Black card
  • Parisian Accents die
  • Mirror card

I used the label three die on this card as the shape complimented the football. After stamping the design, I coloured and blended until satisfied. It is also good to see the final design with the shading making it look more realistic. I matted and layered to co-ordinate with the chosen flex marker colours. I added the mirror card shapes for a finishing touch.

I like it, what do you think?

Addicted to shoes!

In typical female style I have found the passion for shoes, but not just any shoes… These have to be Fabulous Shoes! You might not be able to wear these designs but I'm sure they will impress just as much!

I'm so happy with my new fabulous shoes stamp collection, that I have made several card designs around them. The first one is below and I will be uploading my other designs over the next few days.

I really hope you can get some inspiration from them and please let me know what you think!

Materials used:

  • White card
  • Adorning squares outside die
  • Fabulous shoes stamp collection 2
  • Pro markers – rose pink – pale pink – blossom – mulberry – lilac – orchid – blush – pear green – leaf green – blender
  • Floral accents die
  • Pink card
  • White card blank
  • Hunkydory pink card
  • Mirror card
  • Red and pink roses

Using the white card along with the adorning squares die and my trusty Grand Calibur gave me the shape that I wanted, for the centre of the card. I chose the shoe design from my stamp collection and coloured the image using the pro markers. I chose to mat and layer with the pink card onto a white card blank. I finished the card off with embellishments made by using mirror card and pink card with a floral accents die, adding the pink and red roses to complete the design.

Starting off!

Welcome to my new blog - all about craft especially card craft. After visiting many other crafting blogs and admiring their cards and getting loads of ideas and inspiration, I have decided to start my own!

Hopefully you will enjoy what I put on here and comments are always welcome (especially nice ones!) From my blog I hope to inspire others and share ideas, hint and tips to how all types of materials can be made into stunning cards.

I am lucky enough to have a craft shop near where I live and I also use Create and Craft (in fact probably use it too much!) From these I buy my crafting materials and kits - I have my favourites though... and if I were to name my top three companies, for me it would be:

1. Hunkydory
2. Kanban (Boo Hoo... can't believe they are no longer)
3. Spellbinders

I wonder what your top three would be? Please let me know...

Anyway to my latest card... for the friends of a newborn baby boy! He is a real Easter baby, only born yesterday and because he has been named straight away, I decided to put his name on the card!

I really hope they like it!
